Beginner Lampworking Class

Beginner lampwork instruction is a three hour class. I will teach you how to work with a minor torch, glass and mandrels. I will show you beginner instruction on using tools like a graphite shaper, tungsten pick and other assorted tools. I will teach you the basics that you need to know about glass including the differences between striking and reducing. I supply the glass, torch and mandrels. Just bring an open mind and a willingness to learn!

Intermediate Lampworking Class

The intermediate class is a 2 part class, 3 hours each class for a total of 6 hours of instruction. I will show you several techniques in using special glasses, silver foils, frits, and shaping and sculpting techniques. This class also includes a more advanced approach to using your graphite marver and other tools for a more refined look. This class will also show you how to make my hearts, birds and owls. I will provide glass, tools, special frits, silver, torch and time. You bring anything additional you want to learn about and/or your questions.
